iPhone Duo frame mockups: a walkthrough from import to export

How the free iPhone Duo mockup tool works — import screenshots, pick a model per image, set ratio and background, tune the scale and export. Keyboard shortcuts included.

GuideTools

iPhone Duo frame mockup is the free mockup generator built into this site: it drops a screenshot into one of six iPhone Duo device frames, then exports it with the ratio, background and scale you pick. Useful for store imagery, social covers, changelog illustrations and design hand-off — and it runs entirely in the browser, with nothing uploaded.

Before you start

PNG, JPG and WebP all work; larger sources export sharper. No account needed.

Import

Hit "Add images", drag files onto the list, or paste from the clipboard with ⌘/Ctrl + V. Several images queue up in order, and the one with the highlighted border is the one you are editing.

Pick a model

Six frames: landscape, landscape pair, standing, seated, closed and portrait — landscape by default. Each image keeps its own model: click an image on the left, change the settings on the right. To copy a setting to every image, use the check icon next to that setting's title; the arrow beside it restores that setting's default.

Ratio and background

The output ratio defaults to 3:4, with 4:3, 1:1, 9:16, 16:9, 2:3, 3:2, 4:5 and 5:4 available. Three background modes:

  • Image: the screenshot itself, scaled up and blurred, with an adjustable blur amount.
  • Gradient / solid: colours sampled from the screenshot, or pick your own.

Scale and export

Subject scale controls how much of the canvas the device takes; the default works for most shots. Choose JPG, PNG or WebP and one of three quality tiers. "Export current" saves one image, "Copy current" puts it on the clipboard, and "Export all" packs the batch into a ZIP.

Keyboard

Once two or more images are loaded, Tab stays inside this tool: it cycles through the images and never jumps to the header or the settings panel. Shift+Tab goes back, Delete removes the current image. With a single image, Tab returns to normal focus movement.
